This is a new concept in ranch rodeos. We hope you enjoy this format, we sure
do. There is plenty of excitment. This gives the cowboys a chance to show their skills and what they do at work
everyday. We have enjoyed meeting all of the cowboys and enjoyed the competition.
HISTORY MADE IN 2008!
The first Sanctioned WRCA Rodeo this side of the Mississippi! was in Arcadia, FL on Aug. 30-31st, 2008. The winning team of Stevens Land &
Cattle and Hilliard Bros. Ranch represented Florida at the WRCC (Working Ranch Cowboys World Finals Ranch Rodeo) in Amarillo,
Texas.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Congratulations to: Charles Robert Stevens, Joey Drake,Tuyl
Oxer, Charlie Stevens, Billie Joe Tindall and Buck Lee. We have some great COWBOYS in this state
and were pleased to have been represented by the Stevens/Hilliard team. GO GATORS!

The 2009 WRCA Sanctioned Ranch Rodeo will be held again in Arcadia on Sept. 5 &
6. Entry fees are $350.00 per team (4-6 man team) and the books will open June 15th for Florida teams and in July for
outside teams. Sat. perf. will start @ 6 pm and Sun. perf. @ 4 pm. Rain or shine (ask the guys from last year).
Events and order of them will be posted on the upcoming rodeo page.
You MUST be a WRCA member
and so must your team. You can contact Mandy Morton @ www.WRCA.org for more info. Team and individual cards are only $25.00 each.
Please keep in mind that the principal function of the
WRCA is to promote
ranching and showcase the skills of the
cowboy while educating the public. The actual competition
is secondary
Plan ahead and get your WRCA membership. Our annual WRCA sanctioned rodeo will be Labor
Day Weekend. We will accepting Florida teams first, then any out of state teams can fill any empty holes. You MUST be
a WRCA card holder ($25.00) and the team must have a card. You can purchase them online at WRCA.org.
Since the WRCA has not gone over the limit of sanctioned rodeos, the winning ranch of this rodeo WILL QUALIFY
to compete at the WRCA Championship Finals Rodeo in Amarillo, TX in Nov. Your entry fees WILL BE PAID for you! The winning
team will receive 12 tickets vouchers per night for their families. They will be provided 1 stall per person and 2 meals
for them and their families while there. All paid for by the WRCA!
